Tyndale’s long standing partnership with the Chinese community in Toronto began with the establishment of the Master of Divinity in Pastoral Chinese Ministry (PCM) in 1988. The PCM is an English language program focused on equipping people for ministry primarily in the Chinese community.

A vision of Dr. John Kao, the Canadian Chinese School of Theology was established in 2005. It has served over 65 theology students in the Chinese language with 25 students receiving graduate degrees in theology. The ACCTE established CCSTTS at Tyndale and has been an integral part of supporting the next generation of Chinese language church leaders.

Dr. Gary Nelson is looking forward to the future opportunities, “We are deeply honoured that the board of ACCTE has placed their trust in Tyndale. This renewed partnership represents an exciting moment in the next season between Tyndale and CCSTTS.”

By signing this agreement Tyndale University College & Seminary and the Association Canadian Chinese Theological Education have committed to supporting quality theological education in Toronto in the Chinese language for the foreseeable future.
