Pastor and best-selling author Max Lucado has committed to donating one-hundred percent of the royalties for his upcoming book to benefit children and single mothers, according to an announcement from his publisher.

And in honor of his 25th year of book publishing, Lucado is also partnering with international humanitarian group World Vision to secure sponsorships for 25,000 currently unsponsored children.

“None of us can help everyone. But all of us can help someone,” says Lucado, who is marking this year with a call for people, churches and communities to pursue “compassionate living.”

Lucado’s latest book, Outlive Your Life, will be released by Christian publishing powerhouse Thomas Nelson next month and urges readers to make a difference with their lives on behalf of those who are at risk, in need or overlooked by society.

In addition to the hard cover version, an audio CD of the book will be released, as well as a paperback version, Spanish edition, and a DVD-based study resource.

DaySpring/Hallmark, meanwhile, will release a series of Outlive Your Life greeting cards, and LifeWay Christian Resources will release its DVD-driven Bible study for groups.

According to Thomas Nelson, one hundred percent of book royalties for Outlive Your Life will be donated to World Vision and the James 1:27 Foundation, which seeks to provide financial, emotional and spiritual assistance to women and children in times of distress.

To date, Lucado has more than 65 million books in print and a publishing career spanning 25 years. Many of his titles have been on national bestsellers lists including those of The New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly and Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

The full title of his latest book is Outlive Your Life: You Were Made to Make a Difference.
