21 Christian exhibitors have a total of 75 display booths setup in Exhibition Hall 3G. Organized by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this year’s Hong Kong Book Fair features over 520 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions.

Christian Ministries such as Elim Bookstore and Logos Book House have designed their booths with flashy colors that demand the attention of those passing by. Christians from all throughout Hong Kong are showing up to purchase books, sermon CDs from their favorite preachers, and various other resources. Some have waited to attend the event just to purchase the latest release from their favorite authors.

While handheld electronic devise like iPhone, Blackberry, iPad, and social-networking platforms have become the must have in this digital generation, the exhibiting Christian ministries and publishers are meeting the demands of their audiences through the publishing of e-books.

Exhibitors such as Breakthrough Ministries, Methodist Bookroom, Religious Education Resource Centre, Kelvin Collections, and VW Link have chosen to setup their booths outside the Christian exhibition zone.

Kelvin Kwan, CEO of Kelvin Collections, told The Gospel Herald that because their ministry’s target audiences are non-Christians, they have their booths apart from where most of the Christian exhibitors are. Since the boundaries between Christian and non-Christian exhibitors have become blurred to a point that it, in his opinion, doesn’t make much of a difference where the booth is situated.

However, the areas with exhibitors from other religious organizations, including Catholic, Taoists, Buddhists, and Islamist, do not seem to have as much people flow as that of protestant Christians.
